premiser is a simple practice tool: you pick a concept, speak an answer, and receive automated ai feedback.
your microphone audio is recorded in your browser only after you press record. the audio is sent to openai for transcription, then the resulting text and the concept are sent to openai to evaluate your answer.
premiser has no accounts. it does not store your audio or transcripts on its own servers and does not sell data. a small streak counter, your current practice selection — topic, level, and concept — and your last fifty results, each with its concept, topic, level, date, and scores, are stored in localstorage in your browser and never leave your device. those results hold no part of what you said, and you can erase them at any time from the practice screen. your language preference is kept in a first-party browser cookie. a challenge link you create contains only what it shows: the concept, the rules, and the score attached to it.
when deployed on vercel, premiser uses cookie-free vercel web analytics for anonymous, aggregate page-view statistics. it does not use analytics cookies or collect personal identifiers.
audio and text are processed by openai under openai's own privacy policy.
clearing this site's browser storage removes the local streak, recent results, current practice selection, and saved language preference. do not record anything you consider sensitive.
